The Liar Society (The Liar Society #1) by Lisa & Laura Roecker

Kate has no choice but to prove once and for all that Grace’s death was more than just a tragic accident. But secrets haunt the halls of her elite private school–secrets people will do anything to protect. Even if it means getting rid of the girl trying to solve a murder.

My Review:

This was one of those books that had a great potential for triumph that collapsed into the mundane result of if you can’t beat them give up.  The work that comprised the detail for this story was amazing.  The descriptions of the settings used vibrant color to bring them to life.  The authors put together a wonderful plot, and then there was the ending.

Kate’s reward for her efforts was that she discovered the truth about what happened to her best friend, Grace.  Unfortunately, the revelation did not go very far and resulted in a very frustrated reader, and nearly landed Kate back where her emotional rollercoaster started.
